Less stress and more reassurance

I have a DMP arranged through Stepchange. It was a relief to make a single payment towards all my debts. The downside is it feels like it will be a long time before these are paid off and I still get letters from creditors which put me in to panic mode. Fantastic people.

Fantastic people. They only want to help. No judgement, no awkward questions. Just be 100% honest with them and they will be 100% honest with you. Following a very difficult period financially and personally for both myself and my wife, StepChange have been supportive, professional and non-judgemental throughout the entire process. From the first conversation, they took the time to properly understand our circumstances, explain the available options clearly and allow us the space to make informed decisions without pressure. What initially felt completely overwhelming became far more manageable once we had their guidance and support. Stepchange changed my life!

Stepchange changed my life! I was sinking in debt and they came to the rescue. I'm on my third year now and it has completely changed my attitude to spending. As long as I live I will never borrow money again, no loans, no credit cards. The borrower is slave to the lender. Reviewed on: 27th May 2026
