Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

They have transformed

It is helping me get back on track

It is helping me get back on track although a very scary journey. You have to be brave to get through all this, which was all new to me and never thought l would be in this situation, being a professional person, but retired. Stepchange was a real lifesaver for me.

Stepchange was a real lifesaver for me. Felt overwhelmed by debt but was able to easily sort a DMP with Stepchange. This has left me with a realistic monthy payment and I will clear my debts in a reasonable timeframe. This would not have happened before.
