Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

A Light at the end of the tunnel

Judgment free help

After years of feeling alone , afraid and out of control with debt, step change helped me and I didn’t feel scared after the first day I spoke to them. Friendly, non judgmental and finally feels like someone’s on my side. After years of struggling, I should be debt free within less than a year. I will always recommend step Change. Help when most needed

When I found myself with a mountain of debt with no where to turn, Stepchange provided me much needed help and support.
