Retaking control

You've come to the end of your tether, swamped by red letters and final notices. So phone StepChange - one of the best half hours of your life. They sort out what you spend on what, what you owe, what you can afford to pay back after allowances are made for the amount you need to live on. Then they sort out the repayments (through them) and companies listen to them whereas they wouldn't listen to you, because they have standing. And the best bit (apart from the relief of finally doing something positive about things) is that they're a charity and won't charge you a penny. Reviewed on: 23rd April 2017

Stepchange took away the stress of debt

StepChange helped me to find a way to repay my debts and take away the constant stress and worry. Whenever I need to call them they are very helpful and resolve any issues quickly. Good advice but not always easy to contact

Step Change are very knowledgeable about debt and what things are available to deal with it. They're not always very easy to contact by telephone, no doubt because their service is in high demand, which makes it difficult because I'm working and can't make long calls/be on hold for long periods during the week. Then I found stepchange and they helped me to get my debt under control now I’m almost completely debt free and still able to do all the things I want to do and I could have done that without the amazing help and support from stepchange.
