Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Real help when I needed it

I had got myself into such a state with bills coming in left right and centre. Thanks to Step Change, they have helped me manage all my debts, and be able to live without any worries. Customer service is so understanding with my problems and nothing is to much trouble to help sort my issues out. Thank you Step Change, if it wasn’t for you I don’t know where I would be know. Pillar of support

Having been left with a lot of debt from a previous relationship, I was scared that I would drown in it and not be able to support my young family. Step Change were so supportive and they have always reassured me whenever I’ve needed to check on something that I’ve received from my creditors or adjust my plan. Always there to give a helping hand with the right advise

I was left with thousands of pounds of debt when I split from my ex wife and was on the verge of giving up until a friend mentioned step change so as a last resort I made that call and I’m glad I did because now I’m making regular affordable payments to my creditors and now slowly building my life back thanks to step change Reviewed on: 8th July 2020
