Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Indeed changed my life

I was six months pregnant and expecting my first child. I was so much in debt I didn’t know how I was going to pay for my credit card, loans and over draft on SMP. A friend recommended StepChange, which called spoke to a lovely lady bless her, she took her time to advise me on the options were available me, with both advantages and disadvantages! I finally settled for a Dmp which they negotiated with my creditors on my behalf. I honestly, I can now sleep peacefully as StepChange has taken a burden off me. Life savers

Stepchange really did save my life. The debts that were ruling my entire life were causing me untold stress and depression. Contacting Stepchange was one of the best decisions I have ever made. They put my debts into perspective and immediately stopped additional interest mounting up and put everything into one payment that helped put my life back on track and all for free.
