Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Life changing

From the moment I interacted with Step Change I have been shown compassion understanding and professionalism . They have allowed me to see a light at the end of the tunnel of debt . I can't thank them enough I would certainly recommend them to anyone who is struggling to get by juggling the rollercoaster of hopelessness and despair that debt can bring . Crisis Averted

A few years ago I was having a debt crisis. I had "maxed out" on a number of credit cards and my bank overdraft. StepChange provided very helpful advice and dealt with my creditors in a professional manner, thereby releaving a great deal of stress from my wife and I. Reviewed on: 8th July 2020
