Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Could not have done it with out them

Arranging a debt management plan

I contacted them via Macmillan. I was running into debt and step change sorted out a plan with my creditors. My mind was greatly put at ease and every time I needed to contact them they were most helpful. Reviewed on: 8th July 2020

Peace of mind, on hand for advice, monthly statements

Lifesavers

I had debt issues and I couldn't see any way out. I contacted Step Change about bankruptcy. They talked me through my problems and agreed a debt management plan. As I said in my review title lifesavers. The staff where courteous, polite, helpful and spoke to in a proper manner. I would definitely recommend Step Change to anyone in a similar situation.
