Stepchange took away all my worries ,and dealt with my debts . and decided a plan of payments that I could afford . Very friendly staff. Very very poor advice got me into very long term debt I would never recommend this service. I should have just gone bankrupt, instead I was stupid and tried to do the 'right thing'. I am very bitter towards this debt service one of the biggest mistakes in my life was to listen to them! Terrible experience and still paying for it now many years later. Reviewed on: 8th May 2026

StepChange delivered appropriate advice the advice...

After contacting StepChange I have found the advice given to me to be succinct and informative while boosting my confidence in management of my debt. They have been polite and helpful in telephone communication (only had one to ascertain if I needed further assistance very early in the process). All other correspondence once the way forward was agreed is through email, l still have control and send financial changes as required to maintain the affordable payment towards the plan, which also shares an expected end date.
