Stepchange have helped me so much after getting into trouble with my debts, they talked me through my budget and what i spend my money on so we could create o budget for my lenders, nothing is ever too much trouble with them I’ve found, a really worthwhile excessive if your struggling, I would definitely recommend stepchange Reviewed on: 18th May 2024

Fantastic organisation and DMP very useful for me

I came across StepChange in 2017 when I was unemployed and had significant debt. I spoke to a rep and informed them of my situation and how I was unable to apply for bankruptcy due to my intended career. They were very helpful on the call and introduced me to DMP. I started with very small monthly payments whilst unemployed and this went up when I got a job or promotion. I got a default on my account which lasted for 6 years but I was fine with that because the DMP meant I didn’t have to worry too much about money. I made my final payment recently and although it was a long journey. I’m glad it’s been dealt with. Would highly recommend StepChange and their DMP process Reviewed on: 18th May 2024

After initial contact I left the first phone conversation from a feeling of loss not knowing where to turn and ended up with the massive weight of debt and no resolution removed from my shoulders once StepChange took on the debts and contacted the creditors to plan out an acceptable payment plan. Life changing help when needed.

We had built up debt steadily over several years. Step Change helped us to honestly assess our incoming and outgoings. They helped us to stop paying interest on those debts. The phone calls from debtors stopped. It has taken years but we have steadily and affordably repayed our debts. We will be debt free (apart the mortgage) in less than a year. We cannot speak highly enough and would highly recommend using Step Change to anyone. No intrusive phone calls, realistic budgets and always someone to speak to. Reviewed on: 18th May 2024

I was really struggling with my finances, when I called step change they went through everything and took the time with me to sort it and give me the best advice for my circumstances. So much pressure and stress was relieved from dealing with them. I could not have done it without them.
