Lifeline...

When I first contacted Step change back in 2017 I had debts I couldn't afford to pay every month I was at my wits end. Step change helped me firstly by reassuring me that I could get my finances under control and helped me put a debt management plan together. The great thing is they contacted every single one of my creditors to inform them of my situation and what I could afford to pay back. This took the pressure off and although some creditors still tried to hound me the great majority backed off and allowed me to pay them back more gradually. Dont hesitate to contact them if you find yourself in difficulty, you have more options than you know, and believe me there is no scenario Step Change have not encountered. Got into trouble managing credit cards

StepChange: Debt management plan

Easy to use and detailed online form which made it a lot easier for me to understand my finances (e.g. monthly outgoings, expenditure etc.) Each step of the DMP application process along with its outcomes were clearly described. I also used their online live chat option for extra advice from a colleague, and got an informative and speedy response. They provide you with all the information you need, without excessively contacting you (I had an experience with another company that bombarded me with calls and emails). I feel this is important, as the subject of debt is difficult to deal and the last thing you need is added pressure. Reviewed on: 15th May 2024

StepChange has honestly changed my life.

StepChange has honestly changed my life. I was drowning in debt, as a young adult I took out lots of credit without thinking of the future consequences, I genuinely thought I’d be in debt for the rest of my life. I’m now just 8 months from clearing all of my debt and I couldn’t be happier. The plan was incredibly easy to set up, they did pretty much everything for me.
