Retaking control

You've come to the end of your tether, swamped by red letters and final notices. So phone StepChange - one of the best half hours of your life. They sort out what you spend on what, what you owe, what you can afford to pay back after allowances are made for the amount you need to live on. Then they sort out the repayments (through them) and companies listen to them whereas they wouldn't listen to you, because they have standing. And the best bit (apart from the relief of finally doing something positive about things) is that they're a charity and won't charge you a penny. Reviewed on: 23rd April 2017

Stepchange - absolutely brilliant organisation.

Stepchange came into our lives when we h ad been scammed out of all our money and I mean all. They were and are an absolutely fantastic organisation and gave us hope in our hour of need. I cannot explain how much they helped us to realise we were not alone and their help was crucial to us when we needed it most. Give Them a Call They Will Help

I have been with Stepchange for about ten years and as soon as I started on my payment plan, the constant phone calls and associated worry stopped. It is nice to see tge debt going down year by year and last time I looked I was pleasantly surprised by how little was left to pay off. If you are feeling that there is no way out of your debt situation and feel desperate contact them, they are non-judgemental and will find the right solution to your debt problem Reviewed on: 6th June 2025
