I am very grateful to Step Change.

I am very grateful to Step Change. At the time of my first contact with them I was terrified about my financial situation & implications for being able to take care of my child after years of struggle as a single parent. My mental health was significantly impacted. Step Change offered me advice & support in a non-judgmental & practical way that made me feel safer, not on my own & more positive about how I could go about improving my situation. It has been a long journey but the time is now in view when I will be able to be finally debt-free. The whole journey would have been much more frightening without StepChange. And I'm not even sure I would have made it. I cannot thank StepChange & their debt counsellors enough. Reviewed on: 3rd May 2024

Changed my life!

At the start of my experience I was drowning! Drowning in a sea of debt I had found myself in after the pandemic and after sourcing childcare in the previous years before hand and I couldn’t see a way out. I started searching on line for ways I could help myself. At first I thought maybe an IVA but I didn’t want to not pay back what I had owed, after checking with stepchange they advised me that a debt management plan would work better for me and sure enough after completing my budget review and signing up that is exactly what we did, a debt management plan that took into account all of my outgoings for everything else and looked at the money I had left and we made a payment based from that. Stepchange asked my creditors to not apply interest and luckily all of them did. And in less than a year from now I will finally be free of my debt after I have managed to pay back all that I had borrowed in a controlled manner thanks to Stepchange. I 100% recommend anyone struggling to take a look and seek advice if they find themselves like me and can not manage the stress and payment worries. It is because of stepchange I can breathe with relief. Their customer service is excellent they will guide you through all of the steps. I do not have any negative things to say. You changed my life.

You changed my life. Sounds dramatic but I literally didn’t want to be here anymore. I was sinking more and more with no way out. Everyone was so kind and caring and always got help on the phone so easily. The website is so easy to use too. If it wasn’t for stepchange I don’t know how I would have coped. Simple Stress Free Debt Management

When I first contacted Step Change I was suffering with sleepless nights. The following day they sorted a debt management plan and I was able to breathe again, It was such a relief.
