Stepchange gave me hope and changed my life.

I contacted Stepchange after years of accumulating debt because my outgoings were more than my incomings. I spent so long thinking that I was dealing with it, I was making the minimum repayments so everything was fine, wasn't it? Unfortunately the situation just spiralled out of control and I was left with no way to even buy food for our children to eat. Deciding to contact Stepchange changed my life. Stepchange were understanding, didn't judge and just made me feel that there was a light at the end of the tunnel. My payments were consolidated and their website is so easy to navigate and keep track of my outstanding debts and to review the payments I've made so far. Fantastic help

I lost my job about 4_5 years ago due to health issues and found myself in a mess,up to then I was managing my debt. This made me look at my debt which I had built up though gambling and other problems, I did not know were to turn ana who to talk to I felt so low and ashamed that I had got myself to this mess ,I found step change on the internet so I phoned them they were great they listened and then talk me through what I could do .They didn't judge me and were so supportive and helped me get though it and for the last 4-5 years have supported me all the way Reviewed on: 3rd May 2024

customer service were so very supportive

Every customer service I talked to were so very supportive and helpful I can’t thank Stepchange enough they have absolutely changed my life at the time, I had a devastating neurological condition that impacted my life greatly as I could no longer work and had signed up for a big financial commitment of £7890 personal loan and put the rest on my credit card and overdraft and was living in dire poverty to pay back creditors. I finally accepted a Debt management plan for the last bit of personal loan as suddenly I received rent arrears notice and Step Change were brilliant taking over both debts and contacting both creditors arranging everything with my creditors and consolidating both debts into one manageable payment each month until both debts were cleared. I have recommended Stepchange to so many people they are an absolutely life saving Debt Charity that have such wonderful dedicated and supportive staff I will always highly recommend to anyone in need of debt advice.
