Retaking control

You've come to the end of your tether, swamped by red letters and final notices. So phone StepChange - one of the best half hours of your life. They sort out what you spend on what, what you owe, what you can afford to pay back after allowances are made for the amount you need to live on. Then they sort out the repayments (through them) and companies listen to them whereas they wouldn't listen to you, because they have standing. And the best bit (apart from the relief of finally doing something positive about things) is that they're a charity and won't charge you a penny. Reviewed on: 23rd April 2017

Having moved back to my home town due to my elderly...

Having moved back to my home town due to my elderly mother being ill and having a high paid job to minimum wage my finances took a tumble . StepChange has turned my problems around

Every stage of the process towards a debt management plan was made clear and relatively easy to carry out . I struggled with some of the IT involved. Everyone I have spoken to has been knowledgable and non judgmental and kind. I dreaded having to involve anyone else in my financial problems but StepChange took away that feeling to a large extent.
