Retaking control

You've come to the end of your tether, swamped by red letters and final notices. So phone StepChange - one of the best half hours of your life. They sort out what you spend on what, what you owe, what you can afford to pay back after allowances are made for the amount you need to live on. Then they sort out the repayments (through them) and companies listen to them whereas they wouldn't listen to you, because they have standing. And the best bit (apart from the relief of finally doing something positive about things) is that they're a charity and won't charge you a penny. Reviewed on: 23rd April 2017

Flawless

Flawless, i honestly cannot find a flaw, opening the account was so easy, they offer many solutions and they sorted all the payments to debtors really quickly and with minimal fuss . If you miss a payment date they help you get back on track easily. Reviewed on: 27th May 2026

I was at rock bottom, and the people at StepChange were fantastic. They were so patient, and knowledgeable, and compassionate.
