Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

When you have reached the end of the road

When you have reached the end of the road and you think there is no way out .........trust me or I should say trust step change . when i hit the wall i could not climb over step change stepped in and showed me the gate ..when i walked through i could have cried .....step change held my hand .no looking down on me ..no blame they just walked me through the stages with respect and from that day forward I have not looked back .....please for your sake .don`t give up ... there is a light at the end of the dark road your on ......I chose step change and it is one of the right things i have ever done ......you have nothing to lose and everything to gain in getting your life back on tract .....where you are now ... I have been there .....got the tee shirt ....and now I got my life back ......step change showed me the gate ....now you can walk through the same gate i did ..... Reviewed on: 27th May 2026

Stepchange made a stressful time easier to manage.

I cannot praise Stepchange too highly, from beginning to finding my debt solution they made everything straightforward and, in my eyes, simple. When I have needed to speak with anyone they have been most helpful and the call has been answered quickly. Stepchange made an extremely stressful and upsetting time a lot easier to manage.
