Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Brilliant

I have been with Stepchange since 2004.Always been excellent, keeping me updated on changes and my reviews. They helped me with my debts after a relationship breakdown. They contacted my debt companies which helped a great deal with the stress. My debts are soon finished and I owe a lot of gratitude to Stepchange, I 100% recommend this company. ill start by saying prior to contacting step change...

ill start by saying prior to contacting step change I struggled with paying back my debts but every month i paid on time and in full and never missed a payment but my quality of life was diminished to nothing but work sleep work sleep and stress about money. eventually i had enough and sought out help from step change from the get go they we're fantastic and very understanding. they had all the time in the world to go through my options and answer any and all questions i had. sadly during the first few months of my dmp i had a few set backs at work that found me having to lower my monthly payments temporarily while things got back on track. and oh my lord how easy and stress free the process was. so much in the next few months when thing improve im not stressing about upping my payments back to the original. honestly the freedom the happiness they have given me can not be understated. please if you are struggling with debt or just living life because of the monthly payment or anything do seek help. its never too late to seek freedom Reviewed on: 30th May 2025
