Dealing with unexpected life changes.,

My husband had walked out and left me with a large mortgage and bills to pay by myself. I had a well paid job but had credit cards, a loan and did not expect to find myself in this position. I heard of step change and they were extremely understanding and helped me to weather the financial storm I found myself in. I have kept up my payments and when I did ever have to phone them always found them sympathetic and caring. Just the sort of attitude you need when you are personally going through hell. Stepchange have really helped me when I was in a financial hole and didn't know where to turn. They've been so komd and helpful and taken away the worry I had over repayments and now I pay what I can afford without harassment from debt recovery companies. I'm thankful they are there for me. I cant say enough postive things about Stepchange. I was so nervous when I rang because I was in a mess and I had never defaulted on anything before. I also felt ashamed that things had become so bad. They really put me at ease and were very understanding and dicussed it with me without judgement. They helped me find the best option for me. In my eyes they are heros!. I am nearly at the end of my DMP and they have supported me every step of the way. If you are struggling to sleep at night due to debts make the call you wont regret it and you'll wonder why it took you so long. Reviewed on: 1st May 2024

Peace of mind!!

From helping to calculate a liveable budget, to peace of mind from not being chased by creditors, StepChange have been fantastic. I was in a desperate situation, and StepChange saved my life. The process of setting it up was really easy and they did all the hard work for me.
