Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

A phenomenal support

Godsend & relief.

StepChange were a godsend and massive relief for me when due to long term sickness I got behind on payments and the interest was crippling, I did not know where to turn. I am near the end of my payment plan and seeing the balances paid and no more mountains of letters have been great. If you're in a bind make stepchange your first call you will not regret making it. I have recommended them to work colleagues over the years. Customer service is fantastic with genuine concern with helping to sort and settle debts, the yearly reviews are very good and helpful.
