About this product

You can open a Tembo cash lifetime ISA or a stocks and shares lifetime ISA by downloading the app and depositing a minimum of £1.

Tembo doesn’t charge monthly subscription fees for the lifetime ISAs, but there is an annual platform fee for the stocks and shares lifetime ISA.

A fantastic service to help buy my first house

I used Tembo’s LISA an Cash ISA service to help support me toward buying my first property. The service provided was brilliant! They offered clear information and great customer service to help answer any and all questions I had. So I have left a neutral feedback for customer service because I have not personally had to get in touch. But for me this all springs towards a very positive review for Tembo as there have been no issues I've experienced requiring me to get in touch. The app layout at first glance when I joined was a little complicated, it required you set a savings goal for the LISA before you could really get into the app, not something I feel should be forced on its customers, but aside from that my experience with Tembo has been great, quick to process payments or withdrawals, easy visibility of the money I have saved and there is a lot of features on offer easily navigated to if you wanted to make use of them Reviewed on: 3rd February 2026

Good specialist product

I have found it easy to use so far. Any score less than perfect don’t reflect Tembo or their products or services. Instead they’re all reflect that I have not yet used some features. For example I haven’t really needed customer support. And I am still in savings stage so not sure how easy this is to apply to a mortgage. But given other products I believe in this one. Particularly given it appears you solely focus on investments to buy property, where others will offer other investment products. I like specialism offered here, particularly as I investment vehicles designed to help to first time home buyers can be complex and awkward. For example I have heard mortgage brokers struggle with applying the old help-to-buy ISAs. I like that the government relief element is applied early and, i believe, benefits from interest once applied, where some others require the government bonus to be there a year before applying interest.
