Triodos for personal banking

I moved my personal banking to Triodos from First Direct and Nat West in 2021 for ethical reasons. No regrets so far, but as I'd used Triodos for business banking since 2002, I was pretty confident that things would work out. As a bank, they are largely free of gimmicks, and offer a no nonsense basic service which doesn't surprise, but just works. They do charge for current accounts, but when banks don't charge, you have to wonder how they finance that. The web interface is good, though I prefer the old version. All in all, a trouble free bank, without the unethical baggage of supporting fossil fuel companies, and with a pro-environmental and prosocial agenda of supporting renewable energy and low carbon projects. 21 years of business banking with Triodos

We chose Triodos as an ethical bank for our company in 2002. They are a very basic bank with few gimmicks or flashy features. They have never done anything stupid or surprising, and I like that in a bank ! Their banking isn't free, but where banking is free, I guess you have to ask how they're funding that. Their website has always been excellent (though I do prefer the old version to the new version). All in all, we've had very straightforward and trouble free dealings. Would choose them again for work, and have now also moved my personal banking to Triodos. Reviewed on: 23rd April 2023

Great service

For both our business and current accounts, we find Triodos efficient and our accounts easy to manage. When we need to phone up, queueing times compare favourably with other services and the holding music is the best. Reviewed on: 9th April 2023
