Avoid TSB at all costs. Useless.

My card was blocked on arrival while trying to pay for the rental car. Theyt sent a message etc and then the card still didnt work. I used my wifes card...different bank.They they blocked a £7.50 payment to Patreon, they thought it was fraud.They then rang me 10 times and when I eventually spoke to an operative he had a South Asian accent, very strong, hardly spoke English. I hung up thinking it was fraud. Then when I got home they had sharged me £40 for ringing the helpline from abroad. Reviewed on: 10th May 2026

Monzo fanboy but TSB man

So as a techy, I am a sword Monzo advocate. But after opening my TSB account from a Lockbox (the credit building savings account) I am pleasantly impressed by TSB. Although TSB is a traditional bank, it has been great, especially when I moved abroad being able to keep my account was fantastic, and as strange as it sounds I’m glad I have a cheque book even if it’s just a birthday gimmick at this point, amazing that I can deposit them via the app beats Monzo on that…shhh. But I stand by it, TSB is what I've recommended to people getting their first bank. Trustworthy, offers really compelling packages and you get treated like a human not a number when visiting in branch although limited at least there are branches. but considering everything Monzo offers TSB is who I standby! Plus I love paying with my pretty vertical blue card. Reviewed on: 11th March 2025

Appalling company to deal with.

Appalling company to deal with. Told the only way my son can access his savings account is to visit a branch. They have shut all branches. Put in a complaint and they agreed to arrange a Teams call. Took me more than an hour on the phone with them to arrange this due to their appalling systems. Now sitting on the Teams call and nobody has turned up. Sitting on their phone line on hold and nobody answering. I have never know customer service as bad. Reviewed on: 26th July 2024

Telephone line non existent

Unbearable number of options on telephone line for simple current account query. Might as well say we don't have enough money to run a customer helpline. There is a reason they are still a small bank! Reviewed on: 21st August 2023

Lack of branches and customer support

Great Account

I opened this Account to give me flexibility in my savings. I can save what I want, when I want with this Account. Also there is no waiting time for withdrawals, so I have instant access to my money whenever I want it which suits me perfectly. Reviewed on: 10th March 2023

Okay bank
