I have had the WORST experience with Vanquis bank and would never recommend them to anyone. They prey on people who are in a financially... I have had the WORST experience with Vanquis bank and would never recommend them to anyone. They prey on people who are in a financially precarious situation. I took a loan from them in February 23 following my mothers death to pay funeral expenses. I paid this every month without fail. In late 2024 i moved bank and they could no longer take payment through CPA. I was provided with a reference number to set up a standing order as they do not so direct debits - which is weird - but OK. I then start getting hounded with calls saying i haven't paid. EVENTUALLY they identify i was given a wrong reference number. They then sold my account to antelope loans saying i was behind a month in payments when i was not. I have provided various items of proof and they still couldn't sort it out. I had to contact the ombudsman. They agreed to rectify. I have asked on multiple occasions for written confirmation from them and they just ignore or send non sensical replies with poorly written English. They have affected my credit file despite me NEVER missing a payment. They have offered me compensation twice which hasn't been paid. They are the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with and will never again. Please protect yourself from this company who are the most inept!!!!!!!! Read more Read less
