Vanquis are unable to fix their mistakes

Took too much from my account so agreed to refund 1500. Only 500 appeared in my account so called back and they apologised and refunded £1000. They took £1500 off my card which was right but then took another £1000. Id paid off card then to close it down as never want to deal with them again. (Communication is dreadful- they hang up constantly and never call back as promised) so now have a debt showing that I don’t owe and spent over 40 hours on phone trying to sort. Complaint promised some update within 28 days but on day 29 and nothing. Manager on phone advised my bank was to blame as they recalled payments which didn’t exist. My bank knows nothing but they won’t provide references or any info that would aid an investigation. Utterly disgraceful and cruel company. Now being told 8 weeks before they have to respond despite them admitting fault in mistaking 1500 for 500. Apparently have no checks in place to make sure things balance Reviewed on: 31st January 2024

Terrible company

Terrible company, poor communication, if anything goes wrong with your account they will charge you late fees rather than get in contact in writing to say there is a problem, and their customer service and complaints team are arrogant and rude.
