Vanquis offer 0% for purchases and balance transfers for a set period of time. You will be charged a fee for any balance transfers. When the offer period on the card ends, any outstanding balance will be charged at a standard variable interest rate.

Mixed Experience with Vanquis Credit Card!

I have had a Vanquis credit card for some time, and my experience has been a mix of positives and challenges. The card helped me build my credit score when used responsibly. The application process was straightforward, and I was approved relatively quickly. I had an issue in the past where my account was blocked unexpectedly. I was asked to provide bank statements from another account I hold due to a money transfer, which caused delays and frustration. The customer communication during that period could have been clearer or more supportive. While the Vanquis credit card can be useful for building or improving your credit, my experience with account blocking and documentation requests was stressful and took effort to resolve. I would advise others to be prepared to provide supporting documents and to stay on top of communications with customer service. Reviewed on: 24th January 2026

Worst ever customer service in the world

I have been a Vaquis credit card customer since 12 July 2007. Now I have 29 credit cards with a limit of £84,030. The worst ever credit card customer service and higher interest is Vanquis. The staff are so incompetent that for more than 2 months, they couldn't refund the amount of £4500. They're thinking that if they don't refund, what can we do!!? In one word excellent.

In one word excellent. I have been a Vanquis customer now for almost four years , the application was easy and got a decision immediately , they regularly check your account and how you are using it ( payments and staying within your limit) and as long as you do they will regularly offer you credit limit increases, it also helps build a better and stronger credit score, just like any credit card in this world as long as you use it responsibly it is a real helpful tool, thank you Vanquis Reviewed on: 9th July 2025

Not a good start.

Not a good start. Signed up to a credit card and started making transfers and the % of minimum payments was 5x the amount I signed on my agreement. When I question with staff they were clueless and one amazing response was “well if your balance goes up then your minimum payments go up”. To any person with half a brain cell this is obvious but not from 1% to 5%… silence from the staff. They raised a complaint and then told me AFTER they raised it, it can take up to 59 days. Called back the next day to try and talk to someone else but because a complaint was raised no one could do anything. To this day… not resolved. Not heard back. Terrible. Reviewed on: 9th July 2025
