Terrible Experience - Avoid!

Bought insurance to cover a trip which was cancelled due to airline cancelling flights - it took nearly 6 months to get a decision or response from Yellow Jersey and their underwriter in which they decided against us. Avoid as refused to accept liability despite T&Cs advising able to claim if flights cancelled and not your fault. No apologies, awful customer service & 6 months of chasing has left me & our group out of pocket and disappointed! Reviewed on: 11th March 2021

Do not recommend

Really frustrating. Attempted to claim for my bike being stolen and was refused, asked for lots of evidence that I own my bike (despite having a receipt) and made to feel like I was doing something wrong for claiming despite having paid for this insurance for 5 years. Reviewed on: 12th January 2021

Great package options, perfect coverage for our needs

We shopped around to understand the various options available in the cycling insurance marketplace, and all options kept leading us back to Yellow Jersey. The way that package options are structured provided us with the flexibility to choose the types of cover that we needed for us. Some key things that helped us decide to go with Yellow Jersey instead of the competitors was the ability to insure multiple bikes in the same household, cover for theft from a vehicle, personal accident cover, a bike DNA kit for identification in case of theft, and the option to cover helmets and accessories. And another clincher was the price - Yellow Jersey was arguably the most competitive. As a British Triathlon member, I was also able to get an extra discount too. When it comes to renewal time, they even offer a loyalty discount. So far our experience with Yellow Jersey has been great. Like any insurance, we hope we don't need to be in touch - but know that if we do, we are covered. Reviewed on: 18th September 2020

Great package and coverage options

After being involved in the accident and learning the hard way about the difference between having an insurance or not having one, together with my husband we decided to insure all our bikes. We spend good week researching different options on the market, but in our opinion Yellow Jersey offers the best package for the price. We were able to insure our bikes under one policy and the package also includes personal cover which other competitors often don't offer. The process was quick and easy, meaning we had everything in place in time for our cycling holiday. I would strongly recommend it (and have done so to our cycling friends and family), to anyone as it offers a great peace of mind when you are on the road. Reviewed on: 18th September 2020

Speedy response and great customer care

First class insurance

Brilliant service best feed back and a very good price , just brought my first bike at the age of 55 and loving emountain biking and great I have chosen yellow insurance so helpful in the process of getting the correct policy . Emergency cover good, claims department useless

Emergency department was good, arranged repatriation and hospital cover for my surgery reasonably efficiently. The non-emergency claims are useless, I have had no response to my claim for reimbursement for medical scans that I had to pay for myself during my accident. These were submitted 25 days ago, even after phoning the supplied telephone number and being reassured someone is looking at my case. This has left me out of pocket for the last month, with no sign or reassurance that it will be processed and I will be reimbursed any time soon. Reviewed on: 17th September 2020
