Froze our account as soon as we tried to withdraw money

Opened a business account 2 months ago, no problems there - provided all the ID asked for to open the account. We had customers pay us over £20,000 in to the account yesterday and we tried to log in to online banking to transfer some funds to pay staff and supplier - cashplus blocked the account completely. Customer service said they sent an email last night with a link to fill out some more info, the same ID info they had to open the account - we have had to send this info by recorded delivery and advised they would update us in 5 working days of receiving the documents - not that they would reinstate the account! This now means we have no funds to operate the business or pay staff before easter weekend...... Literally at my wits end. Bad times. Reviewed on: 20th March 2024

Expensive, behind the times, but lovely staff

I think Cashplus is quite expensive as a small business bank account. It doesn't seem to be set out to help small businesses thrive, the charges for cashing in, cashing out, transfers, missed payments, etc. are more than other banks I have been with before. I think the app doesn't have enough features and is quite hard to use, you have to log in on a computer for a lot of things. I think it's not as good as other business banking apps I've used before. You can also not have your card on apple pay which is quite inconvenient. The customer service team are lovely when you need to speak to them its just sometimes a bit of a faf to get through and to sort things. Reviewed on: 13th March 2024

I don't know how they even call themself a bank.

I don't know how they even call themself a bank. Someone had opened an account in my name, and all they needed was my phone number and email, without any verification they opened it and now I've received a card. The only way to close an account is to call them, so I did. Customer service was the most useless one I've ever spoken to. They refused to close my account saying that it's not mine since someone had impersonated them, yet the account is in my name and the card arrived at my house. I am baffled by how they are operating and calling themself a bank. I would not trust to use them at all. Now I have to figure out how to close this account... Reviewed on: 12th March 2024
