Decided to sign up to online with the Chorley because of lock down. It was very straight forward and easy to understand considering doing online banking is new to me. I was sent an ID number through the post and went into my Chorley accounts but I couldn’t see a log out notice which the letter accompanying my ID number said to do but it would log me out after 5 minutes automatically if I wasn’t using the inline service. I found this to be a long time to wait and would have thought probably a couple of minutes would have been enough wait. I rang the next day and spoke to a lovely lady Called Joyce Haywood who was working from home because of the Covid-19 pandemic situation, she was very helpful and asked if there was a menu option which there was so I clicked on it and low and behold was the option to log off. Amanda, who I believe is based at the High Street branch in Chorley is so helpful and polite when I telephone Chorley Building Society, it is a delight for me should I be lucky enough for her to answer the telephone call. Help with getting online

I had problems getting online with Chorley, I had forgotten the password I had nominated when I opened the account. This was exacerbated by some IT problems the Chorley were having. Their staff were really helpful and friendly and got it sorted for me in a day or two. Really refreshing to have good customer service and a friendly voice. Reviewed on: 1st November 2023
