to transfer some money for a purchase which...

I needed to transfer some money for a purchase which Joyce at the leyland branch was excellent. She helped me to set up an online account so i could excess the money by the following morning. I would recommend Joyce for any advice and help. She was so lovely explained everything didn’t make me feel silly that I couldn’t set it up myself. Always quick to answer the phone and assist.

The Chorley are always quick to answer the phone and you get to speak with someone at the branch (Not a call centre) I spoke to Julie Rigby (3 times over the course of a week or so) Julie was very helpful (and patient) in assisting me with the on-line process, which I never usually get involved with. Although I've now closed the account, I'd be very happy to save with the Chorley again. Reviewed on: 7th October 2025

A really good building society

I had thought of transferring part of my ISA to another provider to get a little more interest. What a mistake. 3 weeks of daily calls followed, every time someone different. I cancelled the transfer as they said I had omitted the name of the institution the money was coming from. The next day they sent a message saying the transfer was in process. I phoned again. They would sort it. I didn't trust so called the Chorley. One individual took charge of the problem and sorted it on the same day. Sticking with the Chorley with my money.
