My Narrow Boat has been insured with GJW since I bought it. They were recommended & anyway I undertook some due diligence research for alternatives. I've not been disappointed, but there again I've not needed to make a claim. Reviewed on: 24th September 2025

GJW provide great service & cover

GJW Direct provide a high level of cover at a competitive price. We have insured our boats with them for 4 years and we test their value at each renewal and they have always been the most competitive. They are easy to contact and deal with, rarely any queues when calling. Their customer service representatives are knowledgeable, polite and very helpful. I have recommended them to a number of my fellow berth holders over the years. They also have additional benefits for their policyholders by way of discounts with various partners. I shop around at renewal but always come back........

Whenever you speak to them on the phone or at shows, they show genuine interest and care. I shop around at renewal, sometimes there's a marginal price benefit elsewhere but I always go back to GJW for the added comfort of dealing with a company whose employees genuinely care and where claims are handled promptly and properly.
