Good communication...

My one claim in many years with GJW was dealt with efficiently... and I was able to talk to a human being! This is very important when dealing with a subject such as boating. Reviewed on: 14th July 2025

Damaged keel matrix and lessons learnt

I found cracks to the keel matrix sometime after having the boat lifted for a winter layup. I knew the cracks were recent as I had removed the floorboards for cleaning only a few weeks before but had no photographic proof that there was no damage before the yard lifted and propped the boat [in a way I wasn't wholly happy with, but trusted them as the experts]. GJW swiftly organised a survey and the boat was in repair within a few weeks with minimum fuss and I couldn't be happier. I since found out that damage during laying up/launching up is not uncommon and taking photographs under the floor boards before lifting is well worth the inconvenience especially as this also happened to a friend and their insurance company were not so forthcoming as they didn't have photos from before the yard took their boat out the water. Certainly the best bad experience I've had with boating

My boat was stranded in Guernsey after we hit rope mid channel. GJW were awesome. They recognised the difficultly and stress in managing the work remotely and quickly dealt with it in short order. The staff are really knowledgable and keen to help. I cant recommend these guys enough!!! Reviewed on: 14th July 2025

GJW Highly recommended, Professional and Helpful.

I have been insured through GJW for many years now and have considerable confidence with the cover issued to me. Following an unforeseeable event a couple of years ago that required some repair work to the boat, the representatives where extremely helpful and professional offering advice and assistance throughout the investigations and repair. I have been insured with GJW for over 30 years in that time I’ve had 2 minor claims. As I recall I made a phone call and just like that permission was granted to have the work done. So my advice is don’t go anywhere else. Use GJW. Reviewed on: 14th July 2025
