Where do I even start. I just want to give a shout out to Gary at Acorn insurance for really helping me out with the whole insurance process. Due to working as a Covid tester and driving around a lot. Gary was able to make some changes to my policy which fit my career even better. Gary is an excellent salesmen and has excellent experience in what he does. From the beginning through to the end, it was a smooth experience. I want to give thanks to Gary for the luxurious experience and the Acorn insurance team for their exceptional work, especially during this pandemic and every happening with lockdown. Once again thanks Gary.

After cancelling my insurance on a van in November and paying extortionate cancellation fees (which are over twice the cost of anywhere else) acorn insurance continued to take a payment on Christmas Day , after challenging them about this they admitted to their mistake after being on the phone for hours and accusing me of making a mistake(the mistake they made was that when I payed cancellation fee they did not end the credit agreement) this is bad practice as well as being illegal, I have been chasing up a refund which they have agreed to pay however it has now gone past the promised payment date and acorn insurance appear to be doing very little about it. I have informed them this has left me short for the month however they don’t seem to care they only seem to care about getting you off the phone as quick as possible. Countless times they have promised to be in touch with a solution or call me back but not once has any of the promises came through. Top this off with a terrible automated phone system that you have to wait for over half an hour to speak to somebody only for them to be not useful at all absolutely shocking company I would not recommend to anybody ever

A drunk driver smashed into my vehicle she was arrested for drink driving and admitted full liability to hitting my car.
I reported this to acorn insurance and was told I had to deal with the drunk drivers insurance company directly witch was ESURE... I called esure they collected my car and have my car for almost 2 weeks esure then came back to me and said the can’t offer me any service as their policy holder was drunk and breached her insurance policy they told me no work had been done on my car and that I had to deal with acorn insurance.... I then called acorn and was told they would not take my claim as a non fault claim even though I was not at fault at all... this is because I contacted esure directly never is there a manager available to speak to they are always busy... also during this time they tried to charge me an extra £1300 on my renewal price thankfully only Duncan in the renewal department helped me and got my original price for me...
Customer service is so poor and a little suggestion train your staff to a higher standard and employ more managers as never is there one Available to help customers...
I’m left with no option but to take this matter further to the auto motor ombudsman

So reassuring and helpful

I used acorn insurance out of desperation due to my last insurance company not being as reliable as I thought they would be. Acorn insurance are reliable, helpful and I’m really relieved I found such a rewarding company.

All they want is to take your money. Made a mistake with my no claims, I actually had more than I realised. Tried to contact them via email when I received my no claims certificate and forwarded it on to them, but my messages were ignored. Even tried to telephone, but was confronted with a very rude customer service representative.
Now I am paying more for my insurance than I should be and all my attempts to contact them are being ignored. Very unprofessional. Stay away!

Apparently missed a payment 3 months ago, never notified on this, got billed this month and last month no issue.. then all of a sudden, about a week ago, I received policy cancellation threats on payment missed 3 months ago.

I tried everything in my power to rectify and pay this to no avail, tried to call multiple times, goes through to an automated system which then hangs up. Couldn't pay via the faulty link they provided as it was unable to find me.

They've then informed my my policy has been cancelled and will need to make the full payment today or else it will escalate and I will have a default marker put against me.

I've asked them to split the payments into 4 weekly installments as they've already taken this months payment from my account and with the current climate, can't afford to pay the whole thing now. Nope, "you have to either pay the whole thing or 2 payments within 7 days"

Are you guys for real? Horrible. I've already got cheaper quotes lined up and will be cancelling my policy with Acorn once this whole thing is over.

I made a inssurance with Acorn and is the worst decision I have made.
After a online change of vehicle with confirmation email and paying the the amount of money I was running 2 months withous inssurance because of negligence.
I had an incident after 2 months and I found out tham my vehicle it was insured with them ,after spending hours on the phone with unproffesional agents and all the time after 2 hours waiting on the phone the call was going nowhere ,I could not repair my vehicle I paid 2 month inssurance for the old vehicle that I was not driving anymore ,no refund an on top of this a 100£ plus to my inssurance per month
I don`t recommand Acorn please paid a bit more but don`t get involve with them

I had a accident and rang my insurance haven insurance tonget the car repaired after having the car for 3 weeks theybdecided to write it off and take the courtesy car back. I am a keybworker and with covid 19 not able to get to work as dont have a car. They haven't tried to understand or be helpful in this matter. Other insurance companies are reducing the premiums and offering courtesy cars to their clients until the end of the pandemic. Haven on other hand are not. Also they will not let me buy the car back. AVOID AT ALL COST GUYS

Excellent straight forward honest insurance

Excellent company, highly recommend,took a policy out and then recieved a phone call just to make sure the answers I gave were correct so it's helps the customer if a claim is ever made ,highly recommended

Absolute shambles of a company. Staff rude and unhelpful. Glad I didn’t take a policy with them if that’s how they treat potential customers.

if i could give zero stars i would.

Acorn casually cancelled a policy that was taken out and paid for online. They left a retired lady to drive a car with no insurance. When I called and asked why they didn't call to ask for what ever documents they needed, a lady casually told me that they are in inbound call centre and can not make out going calls.

POOR SERVICE. NO CARE FOR CUSTOMERS WHAT SO EVER.

I have a black box with these morons, I wasn’t contacted for the first 4-5 months about anything, didn’t hear a thing, all of a sudden I’m issued with a first warning out of the blue, then received an message about going over mileage, so I rang back to pay and they told me that their system was down, and that they would put a note on my policy to call me back either the same day or the next day. IVE WAITED A BLOODY WEEK, and not heard a thing from them, until I open an email from them tonight saying I’ve been issued a final warning for ignoring them about the payment!!!! This is fucking ridiculous!!!! They have put me on a final warning because they didn’t contact me back
