Poor value compared to other savings providers We have a number of savings accounts. Atom bank has been the worst by far in terms of offering one rate and then dropping the rate. Do not recommend Reviewed on: 9th March 2026

Excellent Savings Vehicle

So easy to set up an online account that provides very competitive rates that many traditional savings providers just cannot match . Interest being applied monthly is a real benefit and everything is covered by £85k protection. . A quality bank worth the investment

My experience is from various perspectives: opening accounts for myself after being recommended Atom by a friend; opening an account for my Mum under Power of Attorney and closing my Mum's account when she died. In all cases, especially on my Mother's death Atom have been efficient, friendly, easy to use, prompt and most of all human! They pay a very competitive rate - with fantastic service. I have had little need to communicate with the bank and I see that as a good indicator. If you are constantly calling them or they you, it suggests something isn’t working. Atom Bank is excellent.

Atom Bank is excellent. We've had a couple of six month bonds with them, which were easy to set up and access. Easy to withdraw money on maturity too. Plus a good interest rate. Reviewed on: 17th April 2025
