After the experiance described below I expected future premiums to be extremely increased I was wrong

My wife had a heart attack on cruise ship and was admitted to hospital in Cadiz southern Spain for an operation where she remained for a week before joining me for a further four days in a local hotel.We were then taken by ambulance to Gibralter where we remained for another four days,joined by a doctor sent from the Uk and flown to Newcastle.All this without me having to pay anything upfront.Avanti even provided me with 1st class rail travel to collect my car from Southampton.During the whole of this ordeal Avanti kept in close telephone contact at least three times daily.This was very reassuring for two people in their late seventies. This is why I recommend Avanti Travel Insurance to friends and family. Reviewed on: 1st August 2017

Clear, concise and "no messing"

It was so straightforward to set up our travel insurance, especially as my husband and I have had various medical issues in the past. The medical questionnaires are easy to follow and still give cover where other companies have offered cover with hugely inflated premiums. Older, medically challenged and money- strapped-Avanti is your man

10 weeks in India a good idea till insurance becomes an issue. Medical screening a first and limited insurance companies to give cover for over 70's plus medical needs plus India plus 10 weeks. Avanti gives the cover and the good price so why choose anyone else ! Reviewed on: 1st August 2017

Unbelievably clear and straightforward

At any stage the customer service by the agents is clear, confident and comprehensive. As a older travellers with 'pre-existings' my experience with Avanti gives me great confidence when travelling world-wide. Reviewed on: 1st August 2017

Competitively priced excellent cover helpful

Having dealt with a number of Companies over the years to get decent cover for my ailments I have found Avanti to be the best ever all for my conditions and I have advised others to contact them as I have every confidence in their products. Reviewed on: 1st August 2017

Excellent service.

Unfortunately we needed to make a claim after a medical cancellation, and the claim was dealt with efficiently and speedily. Furthermore we were told exactly what was happening at each stage. The claim was met in full as far as the amount we had insured. This raises a point, however. If one has an annual multi-trip policy, check if the price of a booked trip exceeds the limit specified clearly enough in the policy wording. We didn't, but were grateful to receive the major part of the cost back so we've already booked the next one! Reviewed on: 1st August 2017

There when things go wrong.

I always use Avanti travel insurance for long haul and shorter trips to Europe. I have health issues such as high blood pressure and cholesterol and have found the insurance reasonably priced. Reviewed on: 1st August 2017
