I was impressed with the way my potential travel insurance was dealt with by the person who took my call. I had a list of travel insurers to contact for quotes, but the straight forward , no-nonsense way that my call was handled, persuaded me that I need look no further. After the experiance described below I expected future premiums to be extremely increased I was wrong

My wife had a heart attack on cruise ship and was admitted to hospital in Cadiz southern Spain for an operation where she remained for a week before joining me for a further four days in a local hotel.We were then taken by ambulance to Gibralter where we remained for another four days,joined by a doctor sent from the Uk and flown to Newcastle.All this without me having to pay anything upfront.Avanti even provided me with 1st class rail travel to collect my car from Southampton.During the whole of this ordeal Avanti kept in close telephone contact at least three times daily.This was very reassuring for two people in their late seventies. This is why I recommend Avanti Travel Insurance to friends and family. Reviewed on: 1st August 2017
