About this product

The Aviva Life Insurance Plan is a term insurance policy which means it lasts for a specific length of time.

You choose the length of cover you need up to 50 years, or until you’re 90 years old. The Aviva Life Insurance Plan will pay a lump sum if you pass away. You could get your lump sum early if you’re diagnosed with a terminal illness.

Peace of mind life insurance

Good Life Insurance policy choice.

I had initially taken my policy out with AIG Life, which got transferred over to Aviva after a buy out. Transfer of my policy was seamless, and I was kept fully updated with events. Very happy with my fixed monthly payment cost and the eventual fixed payout sum. One less thing to worry about! This policy also includes a free 'Access to Smart Health' feature, which 'gives 24/7 access to a virtual GP and expert care management, as well as a range of other health and wellbeing services'. Haven't used yet, but good to have. Would recommend. Reviewed on: 13th October 2026

Terrible company due to payout wait times

My mother had a life insurance policy with Aviva for many years.. the reason my mother took out the policy was to cover her own funeral costs and other practicalities.. my mother passed unexpectedly on the 20th May 2026… it is now 16-09-2026.. 4 months I have been waiting for them to payout and still nothing. Probate has actually been approved and been obtained quicker.. I would urge potential customers not to use Aviva based on their drastically slow payout process. Very disappointing and my mother would be horrified knowing I was left to pay nearly 10k in funeral costs etc. the very reason she took this policy out was to ensure I was not affected financially.. I find this completely unacceptable. Not only am I dealing with the grief of losing my mother I am also now under severe financial pressure because of this company - STAY CLEAR PEOPLE Reviewed on: 16th September 2026

Great products but rubbish customer service

Apparently another company has taken over Aviva & I’m been hounded by calls from the company thats taken over. No one on the calls explained this is what happened so I’ve ended the calls due to fraud/scam concerns. The life insurance i have linked to my mortgage is s great product though.
