Hassle to open account but good interest rate

Opening a Cash ISA account was difficult. I was told to do it in a branch but when I got there they told me they didn't have appointments with a rep available until 3 months later. I couldn't do it online and the app was a nightmare. But after trying several times and spending hours on the phone, I managed to open it. The letter with log in details took a long time to arrive, which is quite inconvenient when you want to start saving as soon as possible. But after all that hassle, the website works well and the interest rate is one of the best in the market. So quite happy with it in the end. Reviewed on: 17th February 2023

Great app

I've been with Barclay for 2 years now and I've definitely come to love this app. I am apart of the Cash ISA as I have recently transfer in in December. The interest rate is perfect and I love that there is a restriction from withdrawing but you can keep depositing monies. I will encourage persons to join this app, very easy to understand. Great ISA rate

The best ISA rate for a while, beats all the other competitors. Took some time in branch to open the account but great customer service received during this visit. So glad to be back with the better rates after years of next to nothing! Reviewed on: 11th January 2023

Cash ISA paying 4%

I'm not a Barclay's customer so called at my local branch to open a Cash ISA account personally, On-line option not available to me. "We don't keep ISA application forms in branch. As you are not an existing customer you will have to arrange an appointment with one of our Financial Advisors". It would appear that the 4% ISA is just to gain 'free publicity' for Barclays as they aren't looking to take on new ISA customers without jumping through some time consuming hoops. Not worth it

I have been trying for over 6 months to get my money back from my dormant cash isa account and have received every excuse whilst this is still ongoing.. absolute joke! Avoid! Reviewed on: 31st August 2022
