The Nationwide FlexDirect current account pays interest on your money and you can earn cashback on debit card purchases for the first 12 months.

If you’re eligible for an overdraft, the first £50 is interest free. The FlexDirect account has to be managed online or over the phone, not at the branch.

I recently switched my bank account to a Nationwide flex direct. I took advantage of their account switching service to move all of my direct debits and salary to my new account with them. The communication with them was great and everything happened smoothly and in a timely manner. Couldn't be happier with them, especially as they have now introduced a contact less payment card, Reviewed on: 7th October 2014
