A GREAT SERVICE FROM MY LOCAL BRANCH

WE JOINED THE SANTANDER 123 ACCOUNT TWO YEARS AGO AND HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH THE ACCOUNT. THE CASHBACK WE EARN IS GREAT BUT IT IS THE PERSONAL SERVICE WE NOW GET FROM THE STAFF IN OUR LOCAL BRANCH. Reviewed on: 10th January 2017

Dealing with my stupidity

Being as forgetful as I am, it has been suprising that santander still refer to me as a good customer. The number of times I have forgotten one of my passwords and have had to call them up for a reset is beyond belief. I've lost count of the number times it has happened but they are always understanding and very helpful. Just a shame they have no work around for my forgetful nature. Reviewed on: 4th January 2017

Still A Good Choice

Early morning transactions may be embarrassing!

I have always found the Santander 123 current account online banking to be very user friendly and efficient. The only thing I would criticize is that when I want to pay a new person or bill, Santander sends a pin number to my mobile phone to verify. This is great for security but if, like me, you have very bad mobile phone reception it can be a bit of pain, not to mention embarrassing, walking up and down the street in a dressing gown (if it's an early morning transaction) trying to get a signal. Best on offer if you get cash back and interest.

I HAVE BEEN WITH SANTANDER 123 CURRENT ACCOUNT FOR ABOUT 5 YEARS NOW AND HAVE RECENTLY GROWN DISILLUSIONED WITH THEM. THEY HAVE RECENTLY RAISED THE MONTHLY ACCOUNT FEE FROM £2 TO £5 AND HAVE HALVED THE INTEREST RATE ON THE SAVINGS ACCOUNT ATTACHED TO IT.I RECENTLY TRIED TO RE-CLAIM SOME BANK FEE'S FROM THEM AS INSTRUCTED BY THE MARTIN LEWIS WEBSITE,I ENDED UP BEING GIVEN £20 BASICALLY FOR NOT TAKING THINGS ANY FURTHER AS THEY SAID THEY WEREN'T BREAKING ANY RULES. I AM ABOUT TO LEAVE FOR ANOTHER BANK WHICH HAS GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICES,NO FEE ACCOUNT AND LESS CHARGES FOR IF YOU GO OVERDRAWN. Reviewed on: 27th December 2016

The reason leaving my previous bank was over excessive bank charges, Santander are fast going in the same direction, can not complain as after retiring getting finances back into routine is a challenge. Reviewed on: 27th December 2016
