Very helpful

I've always had a positive experience with Santander. Every single member of staff in different branches have been excellent and very helpful and polite. I get regular telephone calls from the mortgage advisor to check (not in a pushy or annoying way) how my house hunt is going. I think the £5 monthly charge on the 123 account is pretty high though compared to other banks. I love the app for my mobile and they have improved it recently so now it's even more useful and easy to use! Reviewed on: 26th January 2017

In my local branch of Santander I have met the most friendly and helpful people whilst at the same time being extremely efficient and professional in all aspects of my account. changing for the worse

I have always up until recently felt a valued customer of Santander 123 current account. But recently after reducing the interest on direct debits and interest on money in your account plus an increase in the monthly account fee i am no longer `breaking even'! Also I have experienced poor customer service when a cashier paid a cheque into a wrong account off mine which had personal implications. I am now in the process of researching for an alternative. Easy to use, interest rate dropped

Recently switched from Barclays. All my direct debits and standing orders were moved with no issues. Online access is quite easy too. Shame the interest rates dropped so much. Reviewed on: 24th January 2017

Online Banking

The easiest online Banking ever to use! I have been with this bank from when it was the Alliance & Leicester, as I used to work for their Head Office Marketing Dept in Hove, East Sussex. And the Branch staff are always friendly and helpful. Great bank would never change. Reviewed on: 18th January 2017

Deal breaker

The 123 was a deal breaker till they dropped the rates, however it is still overall better than most other Banks. Very easy to deal with in Bank and also online, happy with how things have went from switching to day to day running. Perfect for Students and Saving!

I opened a student 123 current account with Santander and have been very impressed and at ease. When I first opened the account I struggled with starting up my online banking account as my letters were sent in the wrong order in the post but Santander were helpful and made sure my account was safely set up and even reimbursed me £60 for the time spent on the phone and the inconvenience! As well as having fantastic interest rates, I received a free 4 year railcard when I opened the account that gives me a discount on train fares. Increase monthly fee with little customer benfefit

I've been an Alliance & leicester & then Santander customer for many years. However recently I've experienced poor customer service and benefits for an increasing monthly fee with little benefit and even reduction in interest on accounts. Reviewed on: 17th January 2017
