Good - but used to be better

The best thing about Santander 123 is that I get interest on my balance. There's also cashback on some items. It all add up but must be offset against the monthly fee. At the moment this is working form me but it's a close thing. Careful management needed. Reviewed on: 11th April 2023

Cashback value

had this account for some years and has enabled us to stretch funds, due to the value of the cash back received. Reviewed on: 10th April 2023

extra pocket money

each month you earn some Cashback on Direct Debit payments 1/2/3% and some interest 2% on balances up to £20.000 on your credit balance for only £4 monthly fee ( pay at least £500 into your account each month and have at least 2 active Direct Debits) - always added monthly... Easy to use current account until you need to transfer a large amount

Current account is easy to use on website and the app. Only bugbear is the payment size limit and occasional disabling of account access which involves a long wait on the phone to re-enable Reviewed on: 7th April 2023

Great service - but at a distance

I really like the 123 account for the ease of online management and for the good interest rates. My only criticism of Santander as a bank is the lack of branches on the High Street. There is nowhere i can visit to speak to someone face to face. When you need support (for example following a recent bereavement) it is very difficult to manage at a distance. Good benefits

Great interest rate

Not only do they pay great rates but you also receive cash back on household bills like Council Tax and utilities. Reviewed on: 6th April 2023

Good bank for direct debit payments

The 123 current account is good to pay direct debits. If some of your suppliers try to take their monthly bill money earlier, wich is most likely, Santander will notify you straight away and you have until 2p.m. to transfer the money in the account to make the payment. Reviewed on: 6th April 2023

Moneyback for simply spending

Had my 1,2, 3 account for few years now. my mortage is with Santander also which means I gain moneyback from this and direct debits. I can see both my mortage and account balance all in one place on the app which means my finances are easily accesible. Reviewed on: 5th April 2023
