Good benefits providing you get more than £5 to offset the monthly fee

Great to get money for having certain debits which cancels out the £5 monthly fee. Would be a better account if monthly fee was reduced. Reviewed on: 8th November 2017

Good, friendly service at local branch but the 123 Santander is not as good as it used to be

I have had a Santander 123 account for a few years. I have always had good, friendly service at my local branch. However, I am considering a change of account as the interest rate has been lowered to 1.5% (previously 3%). With interest rates likely to rise this account is likely to become less competitive. Easy to use and great returns

I have used Santander for years now, ever since they offered a fantastic new customer deal. I am impressed with the simplicity of their app and the ease at which I can transfer funds. I am also very pleased with the returns I have made on my money and will continue to be a loyal customer of theirs. Reviewed on: 8th November 2017

Easy Banking for Anyone

We switched to Santander back in 2015 when our current bank let us down. Everything from the paperwork to online banking has been effortless, I have signed up for alerts so they let me know if I'm getting low on funds without having to check in everyday Reviewed on: 8th November 2017

Declining Service

I have 2 accounts with this company. With high street banks declining I was tempted into their rates of interest. At one stage I wasn't earning any interest whatsoever over several months because I hadn't the right direct debits in place. This bank is quick to blame but not to support. Why can we not have personal service of high quality with people working their best for us and tracking our financial movements like a Financial Advisor as a matter of course. Not quite as good as it used to be.

This was great when we switched 2 years ago, but once the interest rate dropped and the £5 monthly charge was brought in - not so great. It is still a fairly good account though, as there is an attached regular saver account which pays a reasonable rate of interest. Reviewed on: 8th November 2017
