By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Great for low mile drivers

By far the best insurance company I’ve been with- love how fair the system is- quick costumer service chat with the app and added bonus of tracking in case your car is stolen. If you have long commutes it may not be for you but even saying that my partner works quite far from home and by miles is still much cheaper than what you get on the other comparison sites Reviewed on: 18th August 2022

The best car insurance experience I've had. I changed from a standard insurer this year who treated me with contempt. By Miles was so straight forward to set up. Clear about costs which were very reasonable. I like the way I'm only being charged while I'm actually driving, why didn't anyone think of this sooner. Customer service efficient and prompt. Like anyone I shop around every year for car insurance and I get given ridiculous renewal quotes. By Miles has definitely been a game changer. You could pay far less just by driving less. It’s a much fairer and realistic way to insure. The app is also brilliant! Track your car, check it’s health, track journeys and cost. Also when you have those longer trips By Miles understands this and caps the daily miles at 150… so you’ll never pay for more than this! Best thing I ever did joining By Miles.
