By Miles provide car insurance aimed at low mileage drivers.

By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Rarely, an insurance product which do.es the trick

I took this policy out because it was the cheapest around at the time for my circumstances. The tracker arrived promptly, was dead easy to install and "does what it says on the box." I have yet to exceed my target miles so have not had to top up my policy at all - therefore it remains the cheapest around, and the cover is as good as all the others. Great value for low mileage drivers

When I was up for renewal with another big company they actually bumped my price up despite having another years no claims. This was apparently due to a new customer discount no longer applying and they wouldn’t lower the price. Upon shopping around By Miles offered the best value for money by a long way. They actually take into account that I am a low mileage driver and charge me accordingly. I like that I’m not getting charged the same as someone on the road x10 as much as me.
