By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Excellent company, who have such a great ethos you feel proud that they're taking your money for their incredible service! No other company I've ever used made a playlist during lockdown for example! Although it came up on one of the price comparison sites as a good bet for my insurance needs, there are many other attractive features I discovered when I became a policy holder. The app shows you your exact journey and alerts you if you stray unwittingly (easilly done) into the congestion charge area. That can save an £80 fine in the post. You also get things like a diagnostics health check and parking locator if you leave your car in an unfamiliar area to go shopping. I thoroughly reccommend By Miles. Reviewed on: 16th August 2022
