By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

By Miles offer a fantastic service and their customer service is, without doubt, the best I've encountered in this industry space. Their model is perfect for those who live in cities but rarely travel long distances. Should have used By Miles years ago to save on car insurance. Certainly anyone doing low mileage like i am will save money.. Everything works very well ...that is customer service and the app is first class and lets you know instantly your mileage and cost. I’d never heard of by miles until I stumbled upon it online. Reviews seemed good and they could save me almost half of what I was paying previously. Reward you greatly for inviting friends and they don’t penalise you for your driving, Eg at night! Easy to install the tracker and great app!
