By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

It works well for me as a low mileage user, if I don’t go far during any month my insurance costs reflect that and it feels a fairer way to pay my car insurance.
