By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

For me, this is the best insurance ever. Way cheaper than if I had to purchase "normal" insurance. Even on the months I have driven loads, like when I went on holiday, it has still never come close to what I would have paid with standard insurance. Also, it's so easy to speak to someone, you can just Online chat with them and they usually answer immediately. If there is a wait, its never long, and you can leave the app and you'll get a notification when they've replied, so can carry on with your day. Reviewed on: 9th August 2022

Best Miles I have taken

When I insured my car with By Miles I was apprehensive to how it worked . After receiving my first statement I was amazed how cheap it was . How my statement showed all my journeys how many miles I had drove and the cost of each journey . I can budget so easily to what each cost will be . Going with By Miles has saved me money as its worked out as the cheapest option, specifically if you dont drive a lot of miles. I still drive everyday and still has been the cheapest option. Great so far, would recommend! Reviewed on: 9th August 2022

Well worth the move if you don't drive that much.

The move to By Miles three years ago made he think hard about the miles I drive, and since driving to work came to an end I felt I would pay too much for conventional insurance. Though the dongle sticks out in the CPU port in the car, it doesn't matter. Excellent service from the By Miles team and *still* an excellent insurance offer compared to other insurers if you don't drive long distances too often. Reviewed on: 9th August 2022
