Easy and affordable

Excellent choice for low mileage drivers

It was excellent at first. I estimated that I was saving a lot compared to conventional insurance, as I knew I would be doing a fairly low mileage (with both me and my wife working from home) but then I unexpectedly started to have to do long trips (due to family member's regular hospital treatments that were far away), so in the end I did not save - but otherwise I would have, barring the unexpected fact of the repeated long journeys. My reason for not giving 9 stars is that the mileage tracker device fitted in the dashboard stopped working at one point, unknown to me, as I was not logging into the app to see my usage. I only found out a few weeks later when I got an e-mail from ByMiles alerting me to it not recording any trips. It was well fitted in the slot, but stopped recording for some reason. Just removing and plugging it in again solved the problem. The good point is the ability to compare route distances to see which one is shorter and will save you more money in these times of breathtaking petrol prices. Reviewed on: 9th August 2022

Reliable and cost effective

By miles is an amazing company. You get charged for how much you drive and this means you are not paying for anymore than the miles you use. They are easy to get hold of and happy to help with an queries. The app is easy to use and is very clear how the cost has been calculated. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Perfect solution

With every year who knows what how many miles your going to do, I've been worried about saying I'll do less to get a cheaper quote but what happens if i go over? Would the insurance still payout, is it void? Or the other way and putting way more miles than i used in and paying more than i should of in the 1st place. Fantastic insurer. Perfect for my needs and good value for money.

A friend of mine found this insurer for me a few years ago and I was sceptical as had never heard of them and hadn’t heard only an insurer charge based on how much you drive. My partner is the main driver so I just drive to and from work and small journeys so this way of paying works perfectly for me. Also being able to check on the location and health of my car on the app during the day is great. The customer service has always been brilliant. I honestly couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
