By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

By miles has considerably reduced my insurance bill, as I've moved to working more from home. The base price was £200 less than the nearest renewal quote and I estimate I'll spend around £60 motoring. The app is easy to use, as is the device you install to track your miles. Great insurance for low mileage customers.

Out of all the insurance providers out there I've found By Miles to be the cheapest and fairest. I've had interactions with their online support team who have been absolutely amazing. One of the best things about By Miles is that rather than raising my premium when it comes to renewal, they actually lower it and remain competitive! Reviewed on: 6th August 2021
