By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

I work in insurance and I must say I was a little wary at first, it did seem too good to be true. I have just renewed for the 2nd year which was even cheaper and have recommended to all my friends family amd work colleagues. If you are a low mileage driver, the savings are unbelievable I have saved on average each year £450. It’s a no brainer .. thank you by miles not often in insurance we get to save money. A smarter kind of insurance!

Bymiles insurance is a great alternative to the traditional car insurance model. Having paid less than half the amount I would have on my renewal, and my future predicted cost being within the £55 credit offer I am very happy with the choice! The app allows me to better plan my routes, know my cost and even comes in handy to remind me where I’ve parked or get a quick car diagnostic. This new insurance model also makes me think about getting out on foot more rather than take the car out for short trips- it’s therefore better for the environment and better for me :) I’ve been recommending them to all my friends and family too! This has by far been the smoothest experience I have had with any insurance company in my life. The setup is online, it's easy. The app is well designed and lets you see everything easily. Customer support is simple through chat rather than waiting hours on hold. If you hate paperwork and silly processes - switch to ByMiles, you won't look back. Reviewed on: 4th August 2021
